Just when i thought last week started off shitty, this week seems to be tied in first place. I get home today and find an email from club stripes regarding an item i ordered back in June. Apparently their system didnt put my payment through and now have contacted me to say that they will be charging me for it by the 5th.....almost 6 months from the date i ordered it. Now if they had contacted me say in september or october i would have somewhat understood, but not at the 6 month mark. And to top it all off, last week i pre ordered a cd that comes out in january, and i made the mistake of using paypal instead of using my CC. the order went through but was paid for at the time i ordered it instead of when the item comes out. I realized my mistake and notified the site and they refunded me the money and now today according to my bank the money went out, went back in...... and then charged me a 43.50 NSF fee because of it. the payment itself was only for like 64 bucks....wtf. *sighs* hopefully things get better for me cause im feeling drained |

ugh, this has got to be one of the worst weeks of the year for me. The reason is that simply within 2 days of work i have gone from having 33 hours to 24. WTF, 24 hours of work this week and its one month until christmas. Not to mention that we have tons of stock, yesterday was a 1200 piece truck and today was over 600 pieces. I hope that next week i get more hours if not then second part-time job for me. |

ok heres something that really upsets me. the olympic torch was diverted to an alternate route in victoria, british columbia because anti-olympic protesters blocked city streets for hours and each of the 10 or so torchbearers who were supposed to run 300m had to pass the flame from one to the other, ruining their one chance to be a part of the olympics. I know not everyone is for the olympics, but the revenue that comes out of it can help the city and what upsets me the most is that they seem to think its a great thing to be an asshole, even to little children who had lined up for hours to watch the torch and couldnt because of them. Also, i really like the fact that they said it was peaceful and yet threw marbles under the hooves of the police horses in the area. And it wasnt just anti-olympic protesters either, there were protesters against homelessness, for the evironment, native rights, etc. its seems to be by doing this is just a waste of time and they could better use it to work together and make good clear ideas. |

So today I had a tooth taken out that broke a few months ago and its good that i had it done now cause the dentist told me that had i waited longer i would have started to get gingivitis which would be very very bad. And he had to cut my gums away to take out the tooth in pieces cause the break was pretty big so now i have 4 stitches in my mouth (3 are for the holes that developed between my gum and sinuses) On the plus side i now have a crockpot woo |

*sighs*
Well this week seems to have started off on a crappy note for me. First off, last week my schedule said that I would have 34.50 hours this week and when i get in i found out i now have just 30 hrs this week. I dont mind having just 30 hours but not when i was supposed to have 34.50. Secondly, im a "runner" for my job, basically when we get stock in from trucks I take them to the areas for my co-workers to unload the items. Normally there has been myself and another guy to deliver the carts but since the other guy left last friday there is no one else to help with the carts and just today we got in over 900 boxes and normally there can be 10-20 boxes on just a single cart. And this last item isnt a really big thing but its just somethin that gets to me from time to time. Since I usually buy my food on a two week basis (to go with my paydays) I get enough to get me through the weeks especially since i dont really make all that much aswell as being in debt (those of you who know me, know what and who caused the debt). Since I live with three other guys, I know that sometimes the food I buy gets eaten and I sometimes have a bit of their food too, but if someone eats some of my stuff I would atleast like to know. The reason is that I bought a package of 12 hot dog buns a couple of weeks ago to go with my pack of hot dogs, I go to the freezer tonight to take them out and find that over half of my buns have been eaten. That pissed me off cause know I either have to eat some of the hot dogs with no bun or go buy a new pack of buns. |

Well its been a few weeks since my last post so i figured i might as well do an update. For starters, Im now working for the Bay here in the West Edmonton Mall as part of in store marketing (pretty much a restocker for linens and housewares) the hours are pretty ok, 7-3 monday to friday and i have the weekends off which is nice. I'm also trying to get back into the military because I need a good career and a steady paycheck and benefits, plus it will give me the chance to go and visit people more often. Last week, i went to go visit my parents who live on the east coast, yay an 8 hour plane ride from here to there, but the flight wasnt all that bad. No real turbulence to speak of. While i was there my parents bought me some clothes, shoes, paid to get my tooth fixed and gave me some money on my last day there (good thing i keep good relations with them heh). Also, i got to spend time with my sister and her husband which was nice and i realized that she really hasnt changed much at all in the two years since i saw her. Last night i finally saw the movie Knowing with Nicholas Cage and I have to say it was a pretty good movie with well developed plot twists and i recomend seeing it if you like sci fi/drama movies Current Music: Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92: II. WORDS Meme Reply to this entry by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you. These are the five words I got from [info]dan_raccoon: * Blue * Military * Protection * Anthrofest * Hugs Blue: Well blue has always been my favourite colour, mainly because I've lived on both coasts during my lifetime and of course my eyes are a nice ice blue (people have told me my eyes are very nice squee) Military: I was in the service (reserves, army) and I was in it for six years while I lived in Ontario and will be going back in. but this time as a regular force member in the supply tech trade. Protection: For me, protection is important because i feel like helping my friends or protecting them if they ever need it. Anthrofest: This was the first ever con i went to, back in 2006 when i was living in new brunswick. At the con, I met many friends for the first time and had a lot of fun. Hugs: ............Super Hugs!!!!!! Need I say more :P |

The future for me
Well today i got some good news for now, a position i applied for at a big department store at the west edmonton mall called and asked if i still wanted it and i said yes. the bad thing about that is that it wont start until after i get back from visiting my parents which means i start the job on the 9 of july. that means at least 2 more weeks of sitting at home (i have enough money to finish the month off cause if i didnt, i would be worried). But in other news on wednesday i will be stopping by the military recruiting center and see about rejoining the forces as a supply tech. It would really help me out money wise, career wise, etc. and if things go good i will be posted back out here to edmonton after my training |
